After taking photos at the Poetry Idol final during the writers' festival I was happy to come to one of the heats to record the event and it turned out to be a lot different. Everyone was more relaxed and we were lucky enough to see the first public performance of quite a few of the poets, which was something special.

Special thanks to the judges Odette and Sally as I wouldn't have been able to choose between the poets and performances myself, especially in the short time they allowed themselves for judging.

The next poetry idol event will be a special performance by the top ten poets from the final on November 13th and the next contest will be on 4th December.
